California’s Nutso Election System Getting Fresh Scrutiny and It’s About Time

On Thursday, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social and warned to keep an eye on California as they spend the next month counting the votes cast in their June 2 primary.

As many know, California mails a ballot to every voter. Doesn’t matter if that voter no longer lives at the address where the ballot is sent. The voter might not even be in California anymore (because hundreds of thousands are leaving).

But that doesn’t matter. Ballots are shotgunned out the door to ‘addresses,’ and you can guess what happens next.

As long as ballots are postmarked by Election Day, they can be received up to seven days after the primary. After that, it takes 30 days from the end of that seven-day window to complete the counting process.

It’s just…ripe for fraud.

Watch California, everybody! Our Election process is as bad, or worse, than any Third World Country. The biggest difference is, they count their Votes much faster — They don’t wait seven days to tell you who won, rigging the Election during each and every one of them. Americans are ashamed of what is happening!

Of course, the usual Democrat suspects are pushing back on this: Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), and CA Attorney General Rob Bonta. But they’ve been complicit in setting up this garbage election system.

Trump doubled down on his warning during an executive order signing earlier today. If you get Trump, you know he’s not just bloviating but telling us something bigger is coming:

Cue U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, who is in California:

Protecting the integrity of California’s elections is a top priority for my office.

California’s election system has serious structural vulnerabilities. Universal vote-by-mail with no voter ID requirements creates conditions where fraud can go undetected and unpunished, eroding public confidence.

Without commenting on any specific investigation, my office has multiple election fraud investigations underway in coordination with @FBILosAngeles. We will follow the evidence wherever it leads and prosecute any violations of federal election law to the fullest extent.

My office is also working closely with @AAGDhillon to conduct a comprehensive audit of California’s voter rolls. The state has stonewalled every effort to verify that only eligible U.S. citizens are registered to vote. This case is now before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.

My office will not look the other way. We will investigate and prosecute. Every legal vote deserves to be counted. Every illegal vote cancels one out.

More:

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli announced on Friday that his office has opened multiple election fraud investigations in coordination with the FBI.

The announcement comes immediately after President Donald Trump alleged, without providing evidence, that Democrats are attempting to steal California primary races due to slow ballot counting.

While declining to provide specific details on the active probes, Essayli pointed to a case from last month when a Marina del Rey woman was charged with allegedly paying people, including unhoused individuals on Skid Row, to register to vote.

On Friday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Renner visited the Los Angeles County vote processing center. A staff member for Attorney General Rob Bonta seemed somewhat ‘displeased’ by his visit, but cooperated and answered Renner’s questions.

Bottom line is this: Eyes are on California, the election system there has gotten so absurd. It’s about time. And it doesn’t surprise me that Trump is the one who’s bringing the heat.
